South Africa Hospitalization Rate Plunges in Omicron Wave
South Africa delivered some positive news on the omicron coronavirus variant on Friday, reporting a much lower rate of hospital admissions and signs that the wave of infections may be peaking.
NEW - Three vaccine doses are not enough to stop #Omicron, says BioNTech CEO Ugur Sahin now.
"Even triple-vaccinated are likely to transmit the virus. It is obvious we are far from 95% effectiveness."

JUST IN - Robert Koch Institute report released today states that 95.58% of the #Omicron cases in Germany are fully vaccinated (28% of those had a "booster"), 4.42% are unvaccinated.
